Easy morning which was wonderful as it is always so hard to get up. Alice braided Amanda's hair we seemed to have had more time.. funny how most mornings we do so little and yet always feel very behind.
School went well today. I felt like everything was falling into place and I could participate confidently. It is amazing though, because you can see when others are just struggling to understand and keep up. You recognize the empty glaze that accompanies this state of simple uncomprehending fatigue only because you have also experienced such a sensation many times.
Lunch: Creamy Lettuce, potato, and onion soup, with meatballs (Albondigas), and small baked potatoes. Lola is so sweet. Today we mainly discussed food. What we were eating, certain kinds of foods typical to the US, foods that Americans might be opposed to etc. Alice is firmly convinced that the typical American does not like fish, at least interesting fish.
After lunch we helped tidy up...I did some homework.
At 4:40 Alice and I left for El Parque de Juan Carlos I where we were to have met the rest of the Marshall gang. Alas for our tardiness which caused us to miss the appointed meeting time and forced us to continue alone. It was still extremely pleasant pedaling through this beautiful park full of modern art, playgrounds, people, fountains, dogs, etc. Jasmine (who had joined us earlier), Alice and I together truly enjoyed the absolutely beautiful weather by biking in the park. The bikes were completely free! You just needed to be back within the hour or else you receive a penalty...2 penalties and you can't borrow a bike for a year.
Home again with Alice. Amandita (nickname coined by Alice) was sleeping...she had a bit of a rough day. We fixed a light dinner (again) of leftovers from lunch. Patricia returned at about 9:00 from Disneyland! She was so happy and very tired...
Did some more homework.
Took a shower.
Packed/prepared for Sevilla.
