Wed. July 8: Evening walk...Plaza de España

Nothing too different from school today.

 

Rough day for Alice as she got news really late at night that her Grandfather had passed away.  He lived in China with most of her father's family but she had visited him several times and had been planning a long visit in a year for study and to spend time with her family. She stayed home today.
At school meanwhile, once we had finished with our classes Amanda and I went down to the library in order to print our Lion King tickets...For Thursday!!!  First I had to put money on my account, then we had to log on and pull up the tickets on Amanda's flash drive.Well after waiting 10 minutes for the computer to load it turns out that I had not put the tickets on the flash drive, meaning we could not print.

Lunch: chicken noodle soup, albondigas (meatballs), and white rice.  Alice is eating vegetarian for three days in mourning.

At 7:30 went out for a long walk with Alice and Amanda. Sabatini Gardens, Plaza de España (Pictures bellow are from here), then to Gran Villa/Callao to a giant store there, FNAC, where Amanda got Diary of a Wimpy Kid in Spanish to practice reading.
Meandered through some shops along the streets with sales and then quickly over to a little grocery store near our house for some dinner supplies for the next few nights. Met Patricia in grocery store, walked home with her.
I wasn't hungry but the others ate while I worked on blog.
