Tues, June 16 El Prado y another Movie

This day after class around 6ish Amanda, Jasmine, and I went to the Prado Museum for the free hours (6-8 pm).  This museum is enormous and has mostly very classic works of art...Velasquez, Goya, ...
We had to move rather quickly through several of the sections especially in the temporary Picasso exhibit.  But this did allow us to get a light overview of the works on display. In the Velasquez section with Las Meninas there was an artist working on duplicating his style; almost all of the visitors including the three of us were all entranced by his work.

Following our time in El Prado--to which I will return to spend more time--we three walked back to Puerta del Sol and then home.  Alice, Amanda, and I fixed a light dinner and then much later we went back to the little movie theater in San Bernardo area to see Jurassic World.  It was in Spanish but I think we all followed the story quite well. And I will have to say that for the most part it was really enjoyable.  The language ended up making several parts of the movie pretty corny which was fun us.

Alice apparently scares easily and had reluctantly agreed to come along. As a result she did not enjoy the movie. Amanda and I on the other hand had a good time.
