BARCELONA CONT. (Day 3)

DAY 3 (Mon, June 29)

SAGRADA FAMILIA

I could go on and on about this cathedral--its history, its architecture, the fact that it is still under construction, the light and the space, the noises of prayer, construction, and faint music--but it would take entirely too much time.  Rather I will say that I found it all to be incredibly beautiful.  As you will hopefully see the columns inside give it the feeling of a forest...We a great deal of time in here. Enjoy the photos

We had lunch at a little Istanbul place...small kebob sandwiches

Back to the Hostel

Much later...Out walking again:

Monument to those who died in the siege of Catalunya

We went to the Ciutadella Park hoping to bike ride but to no avail. Instead we slowly walked through and eventually came to the Arc de Triomf.  Where we rested until dark people watching.  Several little kids on scooters came up and took pictures with and us and chatted for a while before heading off.

  1. Love your pictures of Barcelona especially the Sagrada Familia. That was my favorite view. Did not get the close look you got.
